Prince Harry said he passed through the same tunnel in Paris where Princess Diana died in a car accident.
Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997. Harry was 12 years old when she died.
Speaking in an interview with ITV, Harry said that paparazzi chased Diana before the accident, and that the paparazzi did nothing to help her, instead choosing to take pictures of her after the accident.
In an excerpt from the audiobook version of “Spare” narrated by Harry, which he shared in an ITV interview, he wrote that He asked to be driven in a car through the same tunnel Where Diana’s crash happened just as quickly.
I said quietly: Is that all? It’s nothing, just a straight tunnel. I almost imagined the tunnel to be an inherently treacherous and dangerous passage. It was just a short, simple, no-frills tunnel. There is no reason for anyone to die inside,” Harry wrote.
Harry did not specify his age when he drove through the tunnel, but said in an ITV interview that he was old enough to drive at the time.
