The exact financial terms were not immediately known.
Ogunjobi visited the team earlier today. He will remain at AFC North, where he started in Cleveland before spending the last year in Cincinnati. Ogunjobi scored seven high-ranking sacks last season with the Bengals.
He was set to sign a $40.5 million deal that season with the Chicago Bears, but the deal fell through due to Ogunjobi’s physical failure. Now, the Steelers have added him to the d-line’s room to help replace retired Stephon Tuitt.
A third-round pick from Charlotte by Brown in 2017, he started three seasons with the team. A solid defender with quick passes, he scored 11 sacks during 2018-2019 before seeing his numbers drop in 2020 to just 2.5 sacks. But he made a huge comeback on a one-year deal with Cincinnati last year, and nearly earned him that big day in Chicago.
The Steelers now have a deep defensive line room, correcting their lack of depth tested and revealed last season.
