Ernest Houseman of Nebraska, Decoldest Crawford, and Brant Banks enter the conversion gate

An confirmed inside Nebraska linebacker Ernst Hausmann, receiver Decoldest Crawford And offensive lineman Brant Banks All of them entered the Transmission Gate.

Plus, Inside Nebraska teaches that kicker Gabe Haynes I entered the transfer portal on Wednesday.

Hausmann is perhaps the most surprising and well known entry into the transfer gate to date.

It was considered a severe blow to the future of Nebraska’s defense. The true freshman linebacker has appeared in all 12 games this season with the Huskers. He made 54 complete tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack. He started in six of 12 games this season, including games in the last four games of the season, and played in 474 of a possible 933 snaps for the Nebraska defense. That includes playing 139 of 145 shots in the last two games as he saw his stock soar over the second half of the season.

In early November, Hausmann spoke about the adjustments he made to college football after being selected early in the season.

“Every week, there’s a lot of new stuff that’s going to be introduced to me, obviously as a real freshman and how different offenses attack us,” Hausmann said. “So just getting a better understanding of each defensive call, knowing where the offense would attack us really helped me out and allowed me to play more quickly.”

The member of the recruiting class of 2022 was an in-state prospect from Columbus High School. He became a gem in this recruiting class after the Huskers won by signing Iowa, Michigan, Kansas State, and more. After being shown what he can do in his Husker costume this season, he’ll have plenty of options on the table to choose from.

Crawford, a three-star recruit in the class of 2022, signed with the Huskers after being committed to LSU for a long time. The former Tigers assistant followed Mickey Joseph to Lincoln and signed him as the sixth-highest-ranked inductee in the cycle.

However, the freshman’s true wide receiver suffered a difficult setback when he suffered a serious injury to his right knee during the final scrimmage at fall camp. He wasn’t expected to see much playing time as a true freshman with a handful of other wide receivers likely ahead of him on the depth chart. However, his development in his first year and ability to contribute early on were diminished as a result of the injury.

Banks, like Hausmann and Crawford, were also three-star recruits from the high school ranks. The offensive hook man chose Nebraska over other top picks like Baylor and Missouri. Banks was in his fourth season at Nebraska but is listed as a sophomore on the Huskers roster. He appeared in 13 games on the offensive line during his second and third seasons, playing in 53 of a possible 783 snaps for the Husker tackle

Heins spent four seasons at Nebraska after joining the Huskers as part of the class of 2019 from Kearney High School (Neb.). He did not appear in a game during his four years with the programme.

The Nationwide Transfer Portal does not open until 5 December. However, players in programs that are subject to head coach change are given 30 days to enter the gate. When Scott Frost was fired, players had a 30-day window to get in the gate, and now that Matt Rule has been signed, Nebraska players are given another 30-day window to get in the gate.
